Honorary Big Sister wins silver medal in Olympic GameS

Shelley-Ann Brown, a member of the Canadian Olympic Bobsled team and Honorary Big Sister, is in Whistler and celebrating her Silver Medal Win at the 2010 Olympic Games.

Big Brothers and Sisters is proud to have Shelley-Ann connected with the agency. The Pickering native, who became an honorary Big Sister in 2009, is a fantastic role model for children in our community.

Shelly-Ann has been competing in Bobsleigh for two years and holds five world record starts. And now, she has made history by becoming the first black Canadian woman to win a medal at the Winter Olympics. Together with her teammate, Helen Upperton, Shelley-Ann captured the Silver Medal in the women's bobsled. Congratulations Shelley-Ann!
