Being a Big Sister is about being a friend and someone to look up to. It’s about hanging out, talking and sharing, with many smiles along the way. It’s about making one child feel very special. And you’ll feel pretty great too.

Our Traditional and best-known One-to-One Match program gives volunteers the chance to build a relationship with a child/youth. As a Big Sister in this program, you will be an adult mentor to a Little Sister (6-16 years old) in a one-to-one relationship.

You don’t have to change your life to become a Big Sister… having a Little Sister just means you have someone else to share in your life.

After the match is made, you start creating a true relationship that will benefit a child…but you’ll also be surprised about how great mentorship will make you feel.
