Fun was had by all who attended “To Catch a Dream” Kids Fishing Derby organized by Big Brothers Big Sisters of York. Every year Bigs and Littles from Ajax and Pickering join in on this fantastic event that includes a day out on a boat with a fishing pro, receiving fishing gear, and complimentary snacks and goodies.

Among the group this June were Pickering’s Couples for Kids participants, Jake, his Big Sister Krista, and Big Brother Paul. It was Paul and Jake's first time fishing and it was up to Krista to show them the ropes. Jake proved to be a very fast learner as, not only did he catch the fishing bug, he caught the biggest Pike!
