The Big Bunch Program is a group mentoring program that is designed for boys waiting to be matched with a Big Brother and for boys aged 5 - 16 from the community. To be a Big Bunch group mentor you need to have an interest in and the ability to provide boys with guidance, support, and leadership in a group setting.

| "Being part of Big Bunch is a great release from school responsibilities. I’ve really learned a lot about problem solving and leadership from our group Mentors." | |
How it WorksBig Bunch activities are organized and supervised by adult volunteer mentors. There will always be one mentor to every four children. Activities typically include group outings and low-organizational sports (e.g. bowling, basketball, etc.). There are also several fun sponsored events that you can take your group to, such as tickets to professional sports games, the Dream Big Fishing Derby, the Big Pic Nic and our annual Holiday party.
This program currently runs for two hours every two weeks over a six-month period. The time frame and schedule can be adjusted depending on your availability.
Application Process
After filling out an inquiry form, there is an application and screening process. Once you are accepted to the program we match you with a maximum of four children. Of course, you will agree to the matches before your first group activity or outing.
Training & Support
Our staff provide guidance to all Big Bunch mentors through the orientation and training. Mentors receive all they need to develop healthy and positive relationships with the Littles in their group.
Benefits
By simply listening, talking, being yourself, and having fun, you will help the boys in your group to improve self-confidence, self-image, leadership and teamwork skills, personal relationships and interest in activities.
