Big Brother
Our Traditional and best-known One-to-One Match program gives volunteers the chance to build a relationship with a young person. A Big Brother is a male volunteer over 18 years of age who is responsible and mature, and has a genuine interest in providing guidance and support to a boy.  Big Brothers come from diverse backgrounds and can be married, single, retired, with or without children.   The most precious gift you will offer is your time and friendship.

Big Brothers

"My Big Brothers is the best friend I've ever had.  He's a good man and a nice friend."

How it Works

Big and Little Brothers spend one-to-one time together doing things that friends do… like talking, playing ball in the park, watching a movie or just hanging out.  There are also several fun sponsored events provided throughout the year, such as tickets to professional sports games, the Dream Big Fishing Derby, the Big Pic Nic and our annual Holiday party.

Application Process

After filling out an inquiry form, there is an application and screening process.  Once you are accepted to the program we match you with a Little Brother that fitsyour profile.  Of course, both of you must agree to the match before your first outing.

Training & Support

Our staff guide all Big Brothers through the orientation and training they need to develop healthy and positive relationships with their Little Brothers.

Benefits

By simply listening, talking, being yourself, and having fun, you will help your Little Brother to improve his self-confidence, self-image, academics, personal relationships and interest in activities.  A Big Brother can even increase a Little Brother's chance of doing well in school. That's something you can both take pride in.
